Once you have chosen your issue to look at you need to consider a range of perspectives and factors. Some of these need to be SPEEECH factors and some can be (but are not limited to) some of the following: gender, commodification, technocentricity, healthism, scientism and the body as a project.

Technocentricity
Technocentricity can be considered the application of scientism. The body is viewed as a machine that can be fixed, improved or adapted. Central to this concept is that scientific knowledge is required to appraise performance, and to monitor and improve performance. Aspects of all the below concepts or factors contribute to the understanding of biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, principles and methods of training to enhance performance of an athlete. So basically using technology to improve performance.
Healthism
Healthism is a lifestyle that prioritises health and fitness above all else.
Body as a Project
The body as a machine is viewing the human body as a machine. This has led to many professionals involved in sport and physical activity to adopt beliefs that view the body can be modified and enhanced, similar to how a mechanic may view the race cars he or she works on.
Commodification
Commodification is the transformation of goods and services, as well as ideas or other entities that normally may not be considered goods, into a commodity ways of viewing performance Different influences on the body, how it is viewed and treated.

Scientism is the belief that the only valid and valuable sources of knowledge are those that have been affirmed through strict scientific methods.
